Director Jihan K reconstructs her father's disappearance after he opposed Qaddafi, with the help of her determined mother who never stopped searching. Award winner, Venice.

When Mansur Rashid Kikhia, who previously worked for the United Nations and served in Libya's government, vanished in 1993 after opposing dictator Muammar Qaddafi, his disappearance left an aching hole in the heart of his family. His daughter, Jihan K, now returns to his story with the help of her mother, who spent 19 years searching for Mansur without ever giving up. Jihan's mother serves as the emotional core of this cathartic tale, whose stories of the lengths she went to for answers are startlingly brave. This bold debut documentary not only offers a portrait of Rashid Kikhia's father; it opens a window into Libya's history, told through poignant memory and powerful testimony.
