The heart-warming story of a Delhi street artist's attempt to cycle from India to Sweden to reunite with the love of his life, from Oscar-winner Orlando von Einsiedel.

This epic documentary tells an incredible true story of adventure and romance. In Delhi, 1975, young street artist PK Mahanandia meets Lotta, who is visiting from Sweden, and paints her portrait. Certain she is the true love foretold to him by an astrologer in his youth, PK embarks on the mission of his life in 1977 – cycling from India to Sweden to be with her. Award-winning director Orlando von Einsiedel (Virunga) tells this rousing story through sumptuous, vivid reenactments and wonderful interviews with PK and Lotta today, 50 years after they first met. To find out if PK makes it or if he and Lotta managed to reconnect, you'll have to see the film. Telluride Film Festival 2025.

Delicate and heartwarming, Orlando von Einsiedel’s stirring documentary The Cycle of Love is the kind of film whose sweet subject transcends time and borders.
